 • You're an individual who resides in and shares financial responsibility of a household with a NYU FCU member.

How can I join the Credit Union?

In order to join NYU FCU, you must first be eligible for membership. Membership is open to all NYU students, faculty, staff, alumni, retirees, and their immediate family members.

Please refer to your account welcome email for your account number which you will need to enroll.

If you already have an active Online Banking account and are locked out, please call the branch for assistance.

Sure! NYU FCU is a Community Development Credit Union (CDCU), so Citibike has provided us with discount codes for low income members.

Do I have to close my account if I leave NYU?

Once a member, always a member! You can keep your NYU FCU membership after you graduate, retire, or leave NYU.

If you've closed your account after leaving NYU, and want to reopen your account, you will need to be eligible for membership again.

The American Consumer Council (ACC) is a national non-profit, tax-exempt consumer education organization with over 403,000 members in all 50 states. ACC has 57 state, local, and regional chapters across the nation. The American Consumer Council serves as a strong consumer advocate to protect the rights and interests of consumers. ACC also has a mandate to educate consumers on the purchase and use of safe, reliable products and services. ACC is a strong champion of Sustainability initiatives, financial education programs to its members, and promotes and fosters corporate social responsibility through its corporate partners.

By joining the American Consumer Council, consumers can become eligible to join NYU Federal Credit Union at no cost! You pay no membership dues or fees as a member benefit of NYU FCU, which is proud to be a sponsoring member of ACC. ACC is only provided with your name, address, phone number and email address. Your membership data and information are treated in a confidential, legal and ethical manner. ACC does not sell, lease, or share your membership data to anyone.
