GAP Coverage

Protection is key.

In the event of a total loss, GAP may protect the "gap" between the vehicle's value and the amount you still owe on your loan, subject to certain limitations and conditions.

All GAP waivers include access to Auto Deductible Reimbursement for any car you are titled or insured on, even if it is not financed with NYU FCU.

Depreciation Protection Waiver

If you've put money down or have equity in your vehicle, DPW is for you.

Depreciation Protection kicks in if your vehicle is ever totaled or stolen and not recovered at anytime over the life of the loan. It waives some or all of your loan balance in the event of the total loss of your vehicle. The waiver benefit is equal to the difference between your vehicle's MSRP or retail value at the time of DPW purchase, less the amount of your loan balance at the time of total loss.

Mechanical Breakdown Protection

If you've put money down or have equity in your vehicle, DPW is for you.

Protection for nearly all mechanical, electrical and electronic parts, except a short list of excluded items.
