Everything You Need to Know About Your New Card.
Start Using Your New Card Now
NYU FCU has officially upgraded members to new, more secure contactless credit and debit cards!
IMPORTANT:
-
Apple, Google and Samsung Pay will be available after August 18.
-
Automatic reissuance was completed for active accounts. If your card has been inactive (12+ months for credit, 6+ months for debit), your card may not have been sent automatically.
What Has Changed?
Your Card Number, Expiration Date, PIN (if you currently use one) & Security Code.
Action Required:
Activate Your New Card Immediately:
-
Call the number on the sticker of your new card (and set up a new PIN if you currently use one). You must call from the phone number you have on file with NYU FCU.
-
If you are currently using a PIN, it will NOT automatically work with your new card, you must call to activate the card AND select a PIN before using.
-
Please note: If you only have a savings account, your debit card will only have ATM functionality. If you would like purchase functionality, please complete the checking account application and link your new card.
-
Safely Destroy Your Old Card:
-
Your old card is deactivated. Cut up or shred your old card to protect your account security.
Update Automatic Payments & Digital Wallets:
-
If you have reoccurring charges (utilities, subscriptions, etc.) paid with your card, notify those companies of your new card information.
-
Don't forget to update your Apple Pay, Google Wallet, or online shopping profiles.
